Campfire apple dumplings for 2

2 baking apples
2 tsp. marg.
2 tsp. brown sugar
4 unwrapped caramels
foil

Core each apple but leave whole. Slice just enough apple off the bottom of each to allow to stand up flat. Then for each apple put in 1 tsp. butter,1 tsp. brown sugar, and 2 unwrapped caramels.

Wrap in foil and then set down in small iron skillet and set on coals and cook until tender. You can check for doneness by poking with fork. These can be prepped ahead of time also.
