Camping - be prepared...

Mike was getting dinner started while I started at the fire. My fingertips were burning from all the climbing we had done that day. He broke my daydreaming, "Jess, will you set up the tent?". I looked towards the sky. Nothing but a plethera of stars, no clouds or even the moon in sight. "Do you see any clouds? Why should we put up the tent when we have this to look at?" He hesitated in arguing with me, but shrugged it off. After dinner, we rolled out the sleeping bags around the fire and fell asleep.
What seemed like minutes later, Mike was nudging me to wake up as rain poured over us. "No cloud in the sky huh?" We both scrambled to the car and got the tent set up, quickly threw our soaked pads in and tried to fall asleep in our comfortable wet sleeping bags and clothes.
