Hi everyone!! Got another idea that I tried when we went camping. I used solar pathway lighting in and around our campsite. These were the cheap ones that you can get at a home improvement store.
They are simple cylinders and the spike stores upside down it the bottom of the light. They provided just enough light to get around by, but weren't bright enough to be a bother. It also helped us find our campsite in the dark.
You do have to make sure that you put them in the sun during the day to charge.

Here's our solution to the shower problem when we camp at primitive locations.
Solar shower bags simply did not work for us. They did not get the water warm enough and hung down too low to use in our shower tent.
I did some searching on line for a low-cost solution and discovered garden sprayers. You can buy these at a hardware store and they are used to spray chemicals and fertilizers on your plants. You actually pump them up to pressurize them.
Here's how we use it: we heat one very large pan of water to boiling(you can do this on your campstove or on the fire), pour the water into the sprayer and add cold water until the desired temperature is reached. Put the lid on and pump it to pressurize.
Then all you have to do is squeeze the nozzle and you've got a hot shower!! We bought ours for $13.
Happy Camping!!
