Field Surrounding Our Campsite

Last year for my 34th birthday, my husband took me on my first tent camping trip to Gallant Woods Preserve in Delaware Ohio for the Perseid Meteor Shower.

It was amazing! We saw 5 big meteors with blue tails and tons of the little orange streak kind. We did not get any pictures of the meteors, but the next morning we got some great pics of the fields around the park.

The park is great, with field and forest trails. They even took us on a night walk through the forest and we got to hear a horned owl! It was a great way to experience my first camping trip, as there was a cop on duty and it was all families local to the area.

They also had real toilets, which made me happy. The park is doing it again this year and I hope to we get to go back. It was just such a great experience! I would recommend it to anyone!!
