Greatland Tent - Simple and Functional

by Edina
(Wisconsin)

I've had one of these tents for 14 years, it has stood strong against 50 mph winds on the shores of Lake Superior, hail the size of dimes, blinding sun and freezing rain. It gets about 30 nights of use every year. Never had a water problem, hasn't needed any repairs, sets up easily in the dark and comes down fast before a rainstorm. Wonderful tent. Simple and functional!

Jeanette's Greatland Tent

by Jeanette
(MI)

I purchased a Greatlands tent at Target about 10 years ago. It is a 4 room dome. WOW! It's been great! I can and have put it up by myself. My favorite part is how the main fiberglass poles are attached at the top. No trying to slide the darn things through those tiny sleeves.
I'd love to find a smaller model. I purchased a smaller tent of another brand, son & I always need help from a neighboring camper to put that one up.

Long Lasting Greatland Tent

by Mike
(Avondale, AZ. USA)

I've had the same Greatland tent for over fifteen years. Camp 6-8 times a year in the high desert/mountains of northern Arizona. Never had a single problem. Great product. Easy set-up and take down. Will buy another if this one ever gives out.

Happy Camper

by Brian
(Nebraska)

I have a Greatland insta-set 4 man dome tent that has served me well for over 20 years. I have made several slight modifications and repairs over the years. Early on I added guy out ropes to each of the poles, as our Nebraska winds would buckle the joints making the tent lean or collapse.

After that modification, it will stand up to anything. It has been through many thunderstorms in Nebraska, heavy rains in the Northeast and the high humidity of Ohio. We do have a new Cabela's Alaskan Guide tent now, but still use the old Greatland on occasion. It served us well just last week in Estes Park, Colorado.
