Choosing the perfect wholesale
sleeping bag is essential for any camper.
If you choose a sleeping bag that
isn't comfortable, doesn't have the features you want, or isn't warm enough, you
may toss and turn all night and be completely useless and unable to enjoy
yourself the next day. What a way to ruin a great camping trip!
So what should you be looking
for when perusing sleeping bags for sale? First, the most important quality of
any wholesale sleeping bag is its warmth rating. Not only is sleeping too cold
uncomfortable, but it can also be downright dangerous in colder temperatures.
Fortunately, most sleeping bags, even cheap sleeping bags, come with a with a
temperature rating. However, picking the right temperature for your sleeping bag
is not as simple as it might seem.
The important thing to remember
when choosing the correct temperature for your wholesale sleeping bag is to err
on the side of caution. What is the coldest temperature you will likely be out
in? Take that number and subtract ten or fifteen degrees, just in case. Also
keep in mind that there are additional features your sleeping bag will need to
have to ensure warmth.
These features include things
called a “draft tube” and “draft collar”. These are features that protect your
body from cold air better than a traditional wholesale sleeping bag. Another
important feature for warmth is a close fit. The more tightly a sleeping bag
fits around your body, the better it will keep warm air around your body. You
will also want to choose a sleeping pad or mat to place underneath your sleeping
bag – an insulated mat will also help keep you warmer.
Along with the fit of the bag,
you should also carefully evaluate the type of bag to choose. “Mummy” or
down-filled bags tend to fit closer to the body and hence are warmer. They also
compress to a very small size compared to the degree of warmth they provide, so
they are great choices for backpackers or anyone who likes to camp light.
Rectangular type bags are more expensive and can be quite comfortable, but they
do not tend to be quite as warm.
You can also pick a synthetic
sack filling if you are allergic to goose down. Synthetic fillings are
inexpensive, and can be quite warm, although they do not tend to be as warm and
come in as high-quality sleeping bags as down. Try to avoid fillings that are
not down or synthetic down, as these fillings are not very warm.
Finally, when deciding on a
warmth rating for your
wholesale sleeping bag, make sure to
keep in mind that everyone has their own favorite temperature range. If you tend
to “sleep cold” or “sleep warm”, you will want to adjust the warmth rating of
your bag accordingly. If you will be eating lightly and doing a lot of physical
activity while camping, it is also a great idea to choose a warmer sleeping bag,
as these conditions can make it harder to warm up during the night.
Remember, choosing the right
sleeping bag depends on a number of factors, but you should always be cautious
when selecting a sleeping temperature, so that you don't suffer from excessive
cold.
If you choose
the right wholesale sleeping bag, you will be ensuring that you have an
enjoyable camping trip and are able to sleep in comfort.
